1. Overview
AlignMe is a personal time-alignment application designed to help you track and reflect on how your time and effort align with your goals. This Privacy Policy explains what information AlignMe collects, why we collect it, how it is processed and protected, and the choices you have regarding your information.
In this policy, “AlignMe,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the AlignMe application and its developer, Enumerate. By using AlignMe, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
AlignMe does not sell your personal information, serve advertisements, or use your journal data to train AI models.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only the information needed to provide AlignMe’s core features:
- Account information: Your email address, which is used to create and authenticate your account through a secure magic link. AlignMe does not collect or store passwords.
- Goal information: Up to five active goals, including each goal’s title, selected color, and completion status.
- Daily journal entries: The raw text you choose to type or dictate when reflecting on your day.
- AI-extracted activities: Structured information derived from your journal entries, including activity descriptions, duration, point scores from 0 to 100, and effort ratings from 1 to 5.
- Service metadata: Limited technical and account metadata maintained by Supabase, such as your unique user identifier, authentication timestamps, record creation and update timestamps, and information needed to maintain a secure session.
We do not intentionally collect precise location, advertising identifiers, contacts, health records, financial information, or passwords.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process your information to:
- Authenticate you and maintain your AlignMe account;
- Save and display your goals, journal entries, activities, task checklists, and progress;
- Calculate and display your 7-day rolling momentum and weekly point milestones;
- Populate the “Your Time” dashboard with breakdowns of your Goals, Work Elements, and Life Elements;
- Use AI to parse journal text into activities and generate personalized summaries, including monthly highlight reels;
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and protect the application.
We do not use your information for advertising, sell or rent your data, or use your content to train our own or third-party machine-learning models.
4. Third-Party Services
AlignMe relies on the following service providers to deliver core functionality:
- Supabase: Provides database hosting and passwordless magic-link authentication. Supabase stores your account records, goals, entries, extracted activities, and related application data on our behalf.
- Google Gemini AI: Processes the daily text snippet you submit together with your goal titles to identify activities and their relationship to your goals. For dashboard and monthly summaries, AlignMe sends structured activity information rather than your raw journal text.
These providers process information only to perform services for AlignMe and are subject to their own security and privacy terms. AlignMe does not send raw journal text to Gemini when producing dashboard summaries.
5. Storage & Security
Your application data is stored using Supabase. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect it, including:
- Row-Level Security (RLS), which restricts database records so authenticated users can access only their own data;
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for information transmitted between your device, AlignMe, and our service providers;
- Short-lived JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) to authorize active sessions; and
- Passwordless magic-link authentication, so AlignMe never needs to store a password for your account.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention & Account Deletion
We retain your account and application data while your AlignMe account remains active so we can provide your history, analytics, and summaries.
You can permanently delete your account at any time using the “Delete My Account” button inside the app.
Account deletion erases your profile data, goals, daily entries, tasks, extracted activities, and activity logs from our active systems. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Limited information may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten through our ordinary retention cycle, or where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information associated with your AlignMe account. You may:
- Review and update your goals and entries in the app;
- Permanently erase your account and associated data using the in-app “Delete My Account” button;
- Request a copy or export of your information by contacting us; and
- Ask us to correct information or answer questions about how it is processed.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
